I am prone to fall into the trap of tinkering with the “bigger and better” when it comes. More unique and more complicated, the better it is! But I’ve learned that’s not always the case.
Sometimes the most simple crafts can be the sweetest! These small stones are one of those things that could be’t simple, but offer a great effect, if you give grouped together in a bowl, as a small gift, found, or hidden in the garden.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve Rum decorated with stones here! We love the rocks painted, and I also paint a post with some rock ideas and tips. The difference between the posts, and this is that we’re, you go back to the basics – no color is used in this project.
And the best part about this little craft is that it is so cheap! You probably already have everything you need on hand to whip this up in no time. Grab a few stones, a few leftover paper or fabric and Mod smorgasbord and you are ready to go!

Mod smorgasbord on the rocks
Here’s what you need:

Smooth stones
Mod hodgepodge Matt or Mod hodgepodge gloss – OR, if you want it waterproof for outdoor, Mod smorgasbord of Outdoor!
fabric or paper scraps
scissors

brush a thin layer of Mod-hodgepodge Matt on the stones.
cut shred some of the heart out of fabric or paper.
Place it on the stones and cover with another layer or two of Mod-smorgasbord.
