You know how you this is a vintage world with your favorite images from children’s books – a unique home decor project!
It was super dirty and the bottom is made of plastic with the beautiful brass guide rail. So I decided it needed a little color, and I thought I would add a little extra charm with some lovely images cut out of vintage early reader books that I had.ends br>Vintage globe turn around
Here’s What you Need:

The first thing you need to do is to clean your world.
Cut the pictures you want to decoupage onto your globe.
a little Paint Mod smorgasbord Ultra-Matte chalk on your vintage globe, where you want to be placed your image. Then lightly press your image face-up on the medium on the surface. You smooth the paper image until it is fully complied with. Repeat with other images.
paint over the entire surface of the globe with the ultra matte medium. Set aside to dry.
Paint the base and the cap of your world with your choice of crafting and painting. Paint as many layers as you need, then set it aside to dry. Then you finish the globe by painting a layer of the ultra-matte chalk to seal the painted surfaces.
I really love how my vintage globe become! It lives in my living room on my vintage TV set, and it adds a lot of kitsch to my room! This is a really simple project that you can do in an hour or so drying time.
you can give any kind of Mod-pick-and-mix you like, but I opted for the Mod-smorgasbord Ultra-Matte chalk that chalky look to the color that I used on the floor and make my world of surface matt, as well.
So if you have an old globe laying around your house or you can find a thrifted one somewhere, grab it and give it a little face-lift. Let your imagination run free and create a unique piece that you will love to display in your home!
