Simple wooden letters with accents, Washi Tape

Learn how to accent an unpainted wooden letters with washi tape – and how to close it! Makes for an easy and fast setup of the house is that anyone can do.

Hi! This is Molly from CraftCuts, and today I'm sharing how easy washi tape accent letter.
I love the natural look of our unpainted wooden letters, but needed something to hide the raw edges. Instead of painting them, I decided to jazz them with washi tape!
I even found a classic grey and white diagonal, it is striped with my shabby decor.
Use a wooden letters, washi tape and Mod to create the hodgepodge that is a sophisticated custom monogram.

materials Needed:

1/2" thick unpainted wooden letters, I'm using a 16" large letter " G " in VictorianD font
roll washi tape
Mod hodgepodge gloss
foam brush
Gather your materials: wooden letter, Mod patchwork, washi tape & brush

step 1: Gather your materials
This is a pretty clean project but you may want to have some newspaper down to protect your work surface from Mod-smorgasbord.
you Apply the washi tape to the edge of the letter.
step 2: Washi Tape
you Apply the washi tape to the edge of the letter. The Band will want something wider than the letter, so you have to be to leave it flush with the face of the letter, the excess tape in the direction of the back.
step 3: fold the Excess tape
Once all of the edges of the letters are covered with the Washi Tape, the letters face down and press the excess tape on the back of the letter.
you are Applying for Mod smorgasbord on the face, sides and rear edges of the letters.
step 4: Mod-hodgepodge
The Mod-smorgasbord, the coat, the face, the flanks and the back edge of the letter. This locks the washi tape on the spot and give the letter a clean, shiny surface. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes.
