If you want your polka dots to end exactly at the edge of the canvas, you have to do some math. (My daughter had to help with this, no joke.) For us, we were with 1.75″ polka dots so we have 14″ x 14″ canvas board, and found a several times was. :

We thought it would be fun to throw in some patterned polka dots, as well. We used old magazines, greeting cards, and printed folder.

We have problems with the color swatch polka dots curling had, if we Podged Mod on the Board. To work around this problem, before you begin, remove the back of the points with Mod smorgasbord first. You will roll if you do this, but when they are dry, they flatten. To start after the points are flat and dry, you are ready for Mod Podging on the Board.

that through the dissemination of Mod smorgasbord on the board and on the back of the polka dots. The cooperation with one point at a time, place a point on the Board, and use the brayer to decoupage the bottom of the point. The points do, push around, especially on the first line, use your finger to hold the point in place while screeching.
continue to work, dot by dot, line by line, until the entire canvas Board is covered with dots.
Let it dry for 2 hours or more, then use a foam to coat the brush, the entire surface with a generous layer of Mod smorgasbord of Satin.
We wanted a “textured” texture instead of brush strokes. To achieve this, after the surface is coated with Mod hodgepodge, gently roll the brayer over the wet Mod smorgasbord. Be careful not to press too firmly or roll over an area more than once, the paper can start to peel. And who wants that? 🙂
Let it dry and that’s – original-polka-dot-paint swatch art. Visit our blog Hammer Like A girl for the other project ideas and follow us there or on our Facebook page for regular updates!
