the summer is here and with it the start of outdoor entertaining. If you have noticed, haven’t, most coasters are square or round. Why can’t, you can be in other forms? It turns out that you can – if you you make.I've decided to make this cool star coasters with vintage ephemera . . . and it’s the perfect Patriotic craft that you may want to use even the whole year. Here’s how I did it. star-shaped coastersSupplies:4. July, colored cardstock, scrapbooking paper and ephemeraMod hodgepodge gloss and Hard coating Mod smorgasbord for sealingMod hodgepodge tool brush band-or jig-saw I want to transfer a star-shaped template (you can download from the internet) on a piece of 1/2″ Wood and cut out the shape with a band saw. This is very easy to do! Use a jig saw, if you don’t have a band saw.• you Prime the star shaped wood, let a piece of cardboard to dry
• Decoupage on the Form, let it dry
• Then decoupaged my vintage graphics, let it dry…Then I cut a 1/2″ strips of my scrap-booking paper and decoupaged the sides, let it dry…
• sealing with Mod-hodgepodge HARD coating for best results, leave to dry…. I decoupaged both sides.
