Mod hodgepodge gloss
stone tiles
Scrapbook paper
polyurethane sealer
stamps (I have a small Mr. and Mrs. stamp)
Stazon ink pad
cork or felt for the back cover

step 1: Cut a heart out of cardboard, and use it to keep track of this and cut out four hearts from your scrapbook paper. I found this textured, sequined paper at Michaels, and thought it was perfect for this project!
step 2: Before attaching the hearts on the tiles I still have a strip of washi tape on the side of each coaster tile. If you don’t, washi tape, you could easily have a length of scrapbook paper for this step!
I liked it, like this add a bit of dimension and contrast-added in the coasters. Next, place the heart on your tiles and use your letter stamps (or your handwriting, if you are lucky enough to have pretty penmanship!) to stamp out “Mr and Mrs” or “love” next to your heart.
Here’s what it looks like before Mod Podging . . .
step 3: Remove the heart, and a layer of Mod hodgepodge over the entire coaster, just above the washi tape words stamped. Place heart back on the tile and smooth out.
once dry, finish by adding another 2-3 layers of Mod-hodgepodge, and a coat of polyurethane sealer for extra durability (if desired).
step 4: Add the cork (or felt) on the back of the coaster, so that you are done don’t scratch the bride and groom’ furniture, and you’re!

Wrap them in tissue paper and ribbon and you’ve got a unique and useful gift for the new couple. You want a different idea? How about a DIY coaster set personalized with the couple’s name and date of the wedding?

step 1: Cut square pieces of scrapbook paper (I love the wood-grain pattern) to fit tiles to your coasters. You can Decoupage onto your tracks.
step 2: Use your stamps, stamp the names /date /etc. that you’d like on the finished coaster.
step 3: Seal with 2-3 coats of Mod-hodgepodge, and a coat of polyurethane (if used). Back with cork.
