After carving the pumpkins this year, I thought to myself . . . what do I do with the seeds? Have you ever used this kind of crazy thoughts?
you, if you want to save want to Know something a little strange, because you know don’t really do what you want. Note that I have a bag of pistachio shells, the Cabinet is currently in my craft. I think I’m using these for Christmas.
Anyhoo, I found a beautiful fall leaves garland at the craft store shortly after the pumpkin carving, and let them be my inspiration for this project. I thought, “what if I the Form of pumpkin seeds in the leaves and you make something unique?”
In this autumn canvas is the result.
read on and learn how to make it. Even if you don’t have any painting skills, you’re able to make this project (and you’ll enjoy it). Here’s how.
Collect These Supplies

Folk Art acrylic colors: Coffee Bean, Orange poppy, orange, Turner's Yellow
Unfinished wooden letters (Scrabble tiles would be sweet!)
12" x 12" canvas
Ashland fall garland (from Michael's)
brush – flat brush, Eyeliner-Pinsel
transparent papier
bastel Kleber
klebe heiƟ Pistole
1 1/2" orange ribbon

sheer Before you begin, wash and dry seeds your pumpkin. Then place a tub of pure Orange and Turners Yellow next to each other on your color.
is The first step, dip your brush in BOTH colors at the same time . . . with orange on half of the brush and yellow on the other (you can see on my brush, above).
This is called double exposure.
After the double-click you load your brush, go ahead and brush back and forth across the work surface (re-loading needed). This is a simple way to cover a canvas quickly, and you don’t need painting skills to do it.
Don’t “revise” an area with the brush. This means that don’t brush back and forth in the same area too many times . . . otherwise, the colors dimmed and you’ll start to just blend together.
The best way to load your brush, make a few strokes, re-loaded, etc. Good news – if you want to don’t how it looks, let it dry and just add color where you see fit. It’s easy!
I used a leaf from the inspiring garland, and a pattern of a large leaf on some transfer paper. I used to test the pattern "" my pumpkin seed placement, to see if my idea would work. According to the decision, it would work, I have several leaf patterns and arranged them on the canvas to the right design.
Then I have a piece of transfer paper and transfer the pattern of the leaves on the canvas.
Then I edged, the leaves of my canvas with Orange poppy.
I wet my brush, then the page is loaded with color, by the color only on the outside, as you can see in the image above. I wanted to coloring outside of the lines of the pattern, just a little color and interest to the project.
Repeat with all the leaves and drylet.br> I started the leaves by placing the pumpkin seeds on the outer line of the pattern. I wanted to not have to do anything special to the seeds after you remove them from the pumpkin, really . . . only washed very well and left them to dry on paper towels (and then brown craft paper) for about 5 days.
After the outlines were done, I started filling in the pattern with the seeds. I only have a DAB of craft glue on the fat end of the seed, and put it in the pattern. It was very easy and didn't take to long!
I have louder a little bit of tape to the upper-left corner of the canvas, and also added a few of these inspiring leaves from the wreath.
I also found some nice wood to put letters in order to the fall of canvas that I thought were a nice touch. I painted them with Orange poppies and glued them to the bottom right corner of the canvas, below the leaves.
