Kate Spade Inspired DIY Frame Makeover

I’m a big fan of Kate Spade and her famous polka dots. In this DIY frame project I a $1 Michael's surface was a Kate-inspired makeover, and it looks amazing!
Hi, it’s Courtney with arts and crafts by Courtney. Are you ready for a new craft project?? I am! Today I’m stepping out of my I coastal comfort zone and share another LOVE of mine . . . POLKA DOTS! I’m what is a quick makeover to a frame I got for $1.00 at Michaels!
For this project, you’re going to:
dragonfly
scissors
foam brush

Supplies

wood frame
Scrapbook paper
Mod hodgepodge Matt
color
Glitter
wood-First steps
I search love the aisles at Michaels, I never know what I’m with go to feet. On a recent trip, I found a dragonfly these adorable frames and cute wood. The frame was $1.00 and the dragonfly was .50 cents, total score!
I went home to give, in this framework, a simple “Kate Spade” inspired makeover!

step 1 – color of your frame,
I pulled one of my favorite paint colors of chalk paint to my image. I painted my sofa table with this color and loved it. I knew it would be perfect for the look I’s.
I have two layers and let each dry for 20 minutes.
step 2 – Cut and Paste Scrapbook paper
I found these cool polka-dot-scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. I’ve been waiting for the perfect project to use.
I measured and cut a 5×7 piece and added to my image. See super easy!!
step 3 – Add your Glitter
Now it’s time to get your glitter!
and painted it on the dragonfly, so you can be sure to access the pages. Then my glitter on top!
step 4 – Last-cut
Finally finish this project, just add a small Mod smorgasbord on the back of the dragonfly and press it firmly on to the frame. I'll let the Mod-hodgepodge dry for 30 minutes before displaying the frame.
Such a sweet and simple project. I just adore how the frame turned out, gotta love the color combinations!
One of my favorite things I love to this project that make it less than $2.00!! Remember that I only paid $1.00 for the frame and .50 cents for the dragonfly. I already had all other supplies on hand! Now I can put it on the bookshelf in the living room.
have a look thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
