I heart you DIY picture frame

Show a loved one how special you are with this DIY picture frame – add a little Mod collection and the aqua color to your Valentine’s Day crafts!
Wait a second – who is he that little twerp in the frame? Why the’s me! As part of My Aqua Valentine, I decided to dress up a wood frame with a loving message on particleboard “bunting.”
I used elements from my stash, so this DIY picture frame cost me $1 total. I realize everyone has small bunting flags, but actually, these are worth buying because they are fucking so’ cute. So cute that I needed to use, use it as soon as possible.
I liked the scalloped vs. non-scalloped flags. And I have my favorite FolkArt paint, Patina. The result is an image that I like – and maybe keep past Valentine’s day. It would also make a great gift. You can make one for yourself, read more.

Collect These Supplies

$1 square wood frame
FolkArt acrylic paint – Sterling silver, Patina, titanium White
Martha Stewart crafts – Typewriter alphabet stencil set
Maya Road Mixed Scallop Mini-pennant-Banner-Set
Mod smorgasbord of Satin
brush
Small stencil brush
craft glue
Thin white Band

Supplied! I love the Patina so much that I have oodles of bottles.
Paint all the flags with Patina, then let them dry.
Paint the framework with silver Sterling. You’ll have to give it a few coats, but then it will Shine bright.
Using the typewriter stencil and white paint you add the lettering of your choice on the banner. I didn’t even with the Band – I just held the stencil in place and then the small stencil brush in a little color on the lettering.
I locked all the flags with a Mod collection and glued the heart shape Form comes down to the individual, un-stenciled flag (the heart with the flags).
you’ll want to fit a super thin Band through the holes. Figure out what length you want to use, cut the ribbon and string it through the pennant.
cover everything and let it dry.
I’m so happy with my image, and I love the mini-Bunting. Now, the correct recipients . . .
