Here’s What you Need:

Travel Mug
Mod hodgepodge of Dishwasher-safe
rubbing alcohol
Scrapbook paper
scissors or paper cutter
ruler
brush
utility knife

instructions:
The first thing you need to do is measure the distance between the upper and lower plastic lip of your mug. Now you cut strips from your scrapbook paper with either scissors or a paper cutter.
Cut wide to about 1/4″. My were not all uniform, since my paper cutter is a little off, so don’t worry if you do not all perfect. Then cut all the pieces to the length you measured on your mug.
you Clean your mug with the alcohol and dry. Grab a little of the Mod-hodgepodge of dishwasher-safe medium on your brush and brush a little on your Cup down the length of the Cup.
Now you take a strip and place it on the Cup in the middle painted surface. Set it as straight as you can, and smooth, so that there are no wrinkles or bubbles.
Repeat with the other strip, then another and so on until you have covered the room with the medium, they had brushed.
Then with the brush a little more medium and keep the smoothing on the strip of paper. You do this all the way to your Cup. Set aside to dry.
If you have any funky edges on the top or the bottom of one of your strips, you can cut them with a sharp cutter knife.
as soon As your Cup is dry, you will need to seal it. Brush on a layer of dishwasher-safe medium. Allow it to dry. Add one to two coats of the Cup to let dry an hour between coats. Cure for 28 days prior to the wash. I love my DIY travel mug!
I think my DIY travel mug turned out super cute! I can wait’t to use it. I think that would be a funny gift for someone you know that your favorite beverages on the go loves.
This craft was really easy, fun, and has me Stoke is less than an hour! I love how versatile it is you can easily make your own, just from the paper that you can use. I hope you all will try it sometime!
