While on a recent trip to Hobby Lobby I found some good pieces of scrapbook paper. I believe really didn’t what she looked like, like scrapbook paper.she looked more like pictures you would sell. So I thought to myself, why not my own DIY wall art with them? I even found a cool lobster piece, I was doing a project for later!!I have a similar project like this for the case of the use of additional pieces of wood that I had But this time I have decided to put a piece of wood, cut for this project.I spent $7.00 on a 3-foot piece of wood and had Lowe’s cut it into 3 12 x 12 pieces. I was super excited to get home and get crafting!Scrapbook-paper-wall-artFor this craft, you need to go:Matt Mod PodgeWood canvas, acrylic paint, scrapbook paperMod hodgepodge brush applicatorFirst stepsSince I already had my scrapbook paper and wood, I just needed to round to the rest of my supplies. As my Mod-hodgepodge, of course!Let’s get crafting! step 1 – Paint your BoardI have only painted the sides of my wood, as the rest will be covered by the paper. I know craft paint and let it dry for 20 minutes.For the gold deer I colored the pages of gold, but I did take didn’t any step-pictures in the gold deer unfortunately. step 2 – Add Scrapbook paperContinue’time, to our scrapbook paper!!!I painted my Matte Mod smorgasbord on the front of the wood, then carefully my paper on the wood. I would smooth down the paper, then add more Mod-hodgepodge and flatten it down some more. Until I was ready. Pretty simple right?!?I decided that not every Mod smorgasbord on the front of my contribution for this project. cut Since I have the wood, 12×12 and it fits perfectly on the wood, YAY!! No cutting needed. cutBecause Mod-hodgepodge dries pretty quickly, I was able to show it immediately on the mantel of my fireplace. Now it’s winter, and I think my DIY-wall-art - looks great – but, frankly, I think the deer might long for the whole year. Deer heads are so popular right now! Here is a deer of gold. I like them both, I don’t know which is my favorite. This DIY wall art was a simple project, and Total cost. I only paid .59 cents a piece of scrapbook paper and $7.00 for the wood. Sweet and cheap . . . win-win!
