Gather These Supplies

dress form
Mod smorgasbord of Satin
material in the pattern of your choice
Spray paint
paint brush
utility knife
painter’s tape and paper/paper-towels
wax paper

The first thing I had to do was spray paint the base. So I've been a painter’s tape and paper towels to section off the base. I did this to the top as well. Then I painted and dry, let.br> next, I prepare my fabric. When I say prepare my fabric, I ironed the fabric, laid it out on wax paper and painted a medium layer of Mod smorgasbord on the top. I did this so it’t fray when I cut it. Just let it dry.
Then use your scissors to cut the fabric into MANY parts. Yep, I cut a lot of pieces. But it’s not bad, if you started once. Only will you see an episode of Downton Abbey or something.
Once you have your pieces, start in the middle and Mod hodgepodge of every piece of the dress form. Keep overlapping Podging the end pieces and Mod. You may need to get your hands a little “dirty” by the smooth, you are the pieces to the bottom, like wet. But it’s kind of fun.
I bet you're wondering what you can do, as you get closer to the top. Well, I cut darts in the pieces! I just cut off the piece and then overlapped in this area. I used Mod smorgasbord and smoothed with the fingers.
you can see in the photo above, I cut the pieces to the shoulders and separated them to make them work. I supply the pieces directly to the neck of my little friend and then trimmed. Let it dry and give it a top coat.
Here she is in all her glory! This DIY dress form-kind of crazy, kind of funny. I want something for Halloween, actually. What do you think?
