Hey guys! It’s Heidi from Hand Occupied. I came across some Podgeable papers in my craft stash recently, and flipped through them.
Stunned, as were stylish, all the designs, I always came back to a sheet, in particular, with some illustrations of stylish vintage ladies.
The chic design immediately inspired me to make some funky, fun earrings.
Mod smorgasbord‘s plastic forms are perfect for a project like this, because you can give you a stunning project done super quickly.

color a little bit of Mod-smorgasbord on one side of each plastic shape. I like the squeeze-bottle of Mod-hodgepodge for this project, you keep the clutter to a minimum – all you have to do is spray a little of the Mod-pick-and-mix as necessary directly on the surface.
Center of your paper cut-outs on the Mod-smorgasbord on the plastic pieces. Paint is another point of Mod smorgasbord on the paper-cut-out. Let dry completely.
If you’re dry, turn over the plastic piece. To distribute paint a thick layer of glitter paint on the bare side, with the glitter on the face of the earring.
If you paint the glitter on back and forth as you’d remove a wall, the glitter, only at the end of all of the edges.
For bonus points, you can spread the glitter color, while wet, away from the face of the vintage fashionista’avoid the face to it. Faces tend to draw the eye, so that I want to didn’t hide it.
After the glitter color, use jump rings and jewelry pliers to attach an earwire to each earring. That’s it! The finished black and gold earrings goes with everything.
