I have my drill and 3/4″ Forstner bit.to Me it is clear, however, that not everyone has access to this particular piece of machinery. So this step can be done easily, with a basic drill, as long as you take the proper precautions. It would be hard to hold or clamp the small 2.5 x 2.5 square in place while you drilled through you. So, before you cut the plywood to size, mark the size of the final space and mark the center.Make a Candle holderyou Place the marked plywood on top of a piece of scrap wood and clamp them both on your work table.DrillThen the eyes, then drill carefully through the middle with a 3/4″ Forstner (shown), or Spade Bit.
