When I saw these plain, kraft-covered notebooks on the opponent of the last week, I knew that that was begging to be decorated. I took her home, and an hour or so later, I had these cuties! Here’s how you won these DIY notebooks –’t
Gather These Supplies
Mod hodgepodge gloss
step 1: Decide you are fit for your design, and start to cut and arrange scrapbook paper. For the bird/nest notebook, I have some pretty pink/green/blue papers, I found in a local scrapbook store. I started with a branch and a few leaves, mod you from podged the notebook . . .
. . . A bird and a nest added to it . . .
. . . and another branch, and a few more leaves around him to compensate.
step 2: For the vase/monogram notebook I have used Amy Butler papers that I found at Michaels. I started with a vase, a few flowers . . .
. . . and finally, they added a circle and initials for a bit of personalization.
step 3: Once you complied with your designs to your notebook, wait for it to dry, and then coat the design with a thin layer of Mod-smorgasbord.
Again, these cute DIY notebooks are to get a large project, the children involved, and would teachers a lovely gift for the first day of school! At $1.50 per notebook, you won’t break the bank, either.
